Instrument of the week: The LHC

Let’s consider everything to be a musical instument, shall we? Sound is produced by vibrations and the Large Hedron Collider will make the biggest vibrations known to man (and by man, I mean me.). On September 10th, the LHC is going to produce the most prodigious music ever made by man as it becomes fully operational. This past weekend a quarter of the LHC turned on and no black holes (yet).
